The Japanese tech firm at the onset of IFA 2015 launched two Walkmans, the NW-A20 and NW-ZX100HN. The firm claims that the two portable music Walkman devices feature DSEE HX software, which lets the media player upscale the low bitrate audio files to a “near high-res” quality. Bluetooth and NFC connectivity are also included in the media players however, for some reason, the new Walkman models miss out on Wi-Fi connectivity.

The NW-A20 model is further divided into two variants – NW-A25HN and NW-A27HN. While the NW-A25HN includes 16GB inbuilt storage, the NW-A27HN comes with 64GB storage. Both support microSD card slots, which can support up to 128GB cards. The NW-A20 Walkman models feature digital noise cancellation, LDAC Bluetooth streaming, and come with company’s newly introduced H.ear range of noise cancelling headphones – MDR-NW750N and MDR-NW750NE, both of which were also announced during the event. The devices both feature 2.2-inch QVGA (320×240 pixels) resolution colour TFT displays with white LED-backlight.

The battery life of Sony NW-ZX100HN is rated to deliver 45 hours of life when listening to 24bit/192kHz FLAC audio files. The device also comes with Hi-Res noise cancelling headphones.
