Now firmly in its stride, the PS4 is home to some of the best games ever made, through to smart indie titles, and now innovative PlayStation VR experiences. And – if you’re a PS4 owner – it’s only going to get better in 2017. The year has started off with a bang, and there’s still so much more to come.

For now, we’ve put together some of the finest offerings on PS4 from the past 12 months. We’ll continue adding to this list as more games are released, so be sure to bookmark it! 2016 was a great year for PS4, getting a number of amazing exclusives and thrilling blockbusters release for the system. Whatever your taste, there is something out there for you. Some of our personal highlights include Uncharted 4, Battlefield 1, Overwatch and Dark Souls 3.

However the tail-end of 2016 saw some major titles fall short of the list. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and The Last Guardian were highly anticipated but didn’t quite meet the hype. However, Final Fantasy 15 did deliver with an amazing experience. On top of that, we also got two brand new console in the form of PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim. 1 Rainbow 6:Siege

if you’re a fan of the original Rainbow Six games, you need Rainbow Six Siege. It’s as simple as that.
Anyone new to the franchise should know that this is an FPS with a bit of a difference. It’s distinctive in that you need to be cautious, careful and keep a tactical head on you.
It’s 5v5 PVP modes are so tense and well-built that it’s exhilarating, even if you’re the first to be taken out in a match.
Play as a team, or lose in Siege, as the solo gunsman will come to a timely demise.

2 Metal Gear Solid:The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain is a work of art. It’s set in a believable open world full of complex, interlocking systems and boasts visuals that are at the very peak of the games currently available on PS4.

Missions are more open than ever, with the ability to tackle each one in your own way. But watch out, if you keep doing the same thing, the game will react to your strategies. Like taking out guards with a headshot? They’re going to start wearing helmets. Tend to attack under the cover of darkness? They’re going to up their nighttime patrols. And so on, and so forth.
